Brockville downs Nepean, 5-2

Chris Chaddock had one point to lead the Brockville Braves to a 5-2 victory over the Nepean Raiders.

Brockville managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Braves ended up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. Brockville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Brockville also got points from Ryan Orgel, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Michael Murray, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Brockville also had goals scored by Thomas Dunleavy and Liam Folkes, who scored one goal each. More assists for Brockville came via Tre Folkes and Stuart Fierheller, who contributed one each and Christopher Mammas, Neil Robinson, and Cameron Crotty, who each chipped in two.

Nepean was helped by Blake Dalton, who registered one goal. Dalton scored 9:36 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Noah Kalsner-Lowe provided the assist. Nepean also got a goal from Kari Belec as well. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Ugo Roik, who had one.

The Braves' Henry Johnson stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Brockville registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Francis Marotte recorded 24 saves for the Raiders. Nepean incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
