Carleton Place falls to Brockville in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Brockville Braves' Eric Faith scored 3:13 into overtime to beat the Carleton Place Canadians, 4-3 (OT).

With three goals and one assist between them, Jack Billings and Faith teamed up to power Brockville's offense. Billings had two goals and Faith also added one goal and one assist.

The Braves excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Brockville additionally got points from Faith, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Thomas Fingler also scored for Brockville. In addition, Brockville received assists from Andrew Jarvis, who had two and Vincenzo Renda, Tre Folkes, Neil Robinson, and Jack Gill, who contributed one each.

Brockville was unable to stop Carleton Place from sending pucks towards the net, and the Canadians eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Carleton Place's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

The Canadians were helped by Marcus Joseph, who tallied two goals. Joseph scored the first of his two goals at 16:19 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Brockville. Connor Merkley assisted on the tally. Joseph's next tally made the score 3-3 with 5:58 left in the third period. Alex Robinson provided the assist. Carleton Place also got points from Merkley, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were Owen Grant, who had one and Nicolas Carrier, who had two.

Henry Johnson made 33 saves for the Braves on 36 shots. Brockville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Colton Point rejected 26 shots on goal for Carleton Place. The Canadians incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
