Pembroke outlasts Kanata, 4-2Kanata Recreational Complex Thu, Dec 17, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Pembroke Lumber Kings escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Kanata Lasers. Pembroke gained the winning advantage on a goal by Alex Gilmour 14:30 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Lumber Kings got the win behind a great game by Gilmour, who had one goal and three assists. Pembroke forced Kanata goalie Evan Moyse to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Pembroke also got points from Brandon Zullo, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Pembroke included Tyler ONeill and Justin Felhaber, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Jesse Blais, Patrick Kyte, and Brett Horn, who each chipped in one. The Lasers were helped by Mike McArthur, who tallied one goal. McArthur scored 7:12 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Quinn Pollock picked up the assist. Kanata also got a goal from Joey Laird as well. More assists for Kanata came via Cole Lussier, Jacob Moreau, and Tyler Young, who contributed one each. Boyd Diclemente rejected 18 shots on goal for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Evan Moyse made 31 saves for Kanata on 35 shots. The Lasers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
