Ottawa outlasts Pembroke, 3-2Pembroke Memorial Center Sun, Dec 13, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Ottawa Senators escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings. Ottawa gained the winning advantage on a goal by Isaac Anderson 11:33 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Senators were led by Anderson, who had one goal. Others who scored for Ottawa included Evan Lindquist and Zacharie Car, who each put in one. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Daniel Sarracco, who had two and Marc-Andre Gauvreau and Jim Pearson, who contributed one each. Pembroke's offense rang up 34 shots on Ottawa's net. The Lumber Kings were helped by Mitchell Culver, who grabbed one goal. Culver scored 18:54 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Wesley Ashley provided the assist. Pembroke also got a goal from Brandon Zullo as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Tyler ONeill and Adam Beveridge, who each chipped in one. Ian Andriano rejected 32 shots on goal for the Senators. Ottawa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities. Pembroke's Boyd Diclemente stopped 16 shots out of the 19 that he faced. The Lumber Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. |
