Bobby Dow netted a hat trick to lead the Kemptville 73s over the Smiths Falls Bears, 6-2. Dow's first goal came 13:07 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:17 into the second and at 15:03 into the second.Kemptville pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes. The 73s forced Smiths Falls goalie Dyllan Lubbesmeyer to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Kemptville outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the 73s average 3.4 goals per contest. Others who scored for Kemptville included Jake Gaudet, Matt Tugnutt, and Alex Row, who each put in one. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Kaelan OFlynn, Adam Alavi, Jason Tackett, and Victor Tracy, who each chipped in one and Cameron Russell and Dean Kiriacou, who contributed two each. The Bears were helped by Matthew Kenney, who racked up two goals. Kenney scored the first of his two goals at 13:58 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Kemptville. Corey Caruso picked up the assist. Kenney's next tally made the score 2-2 with 19:34 left in the second period. Joey Rutkowski provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Smiths Falls were Tristan Whynot, who had one. Peter Brooks rejected 28 shots on goal for Kemptville. The 73s registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Smiths Falls' Lubbesmeyer stopped 32 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Bears incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
