The Kemptville 73s used a sparkling performance by Nicholas Hodgins to take down the Ottawa Senators, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Kemptville's 3-0 shutout victory.

The 73s were led by Adam Alavi, who finished with one goal. Alavi scored 17:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kemptville. Dean Kiriacou provided the assist.

Kemptville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Kemptville also got points from Kiriacou, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Bobby Dow also scored for Kemptville. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Kaelan OFlynn, Jason Tackett, Matt Tugnutt, and Victor Tracy, who contributed one each.

Ottawa did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Senators put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

Nicholas Hodgins made 30 saves for the 73s on 30 shots. Kemptville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ottawa's Marcus Paulino stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Senators incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
