Victory Honda (MM) beats CT Wolfpack (MM) 6-4 after comeback scare

Victory Honda (MM) survived a determined comeback attempt by CT Wolfpack (MM) on the way to a 6-4 win.

A goal by Anthony Grimaldi put Victory Honda (MM) up 6-1 in the second period, but CT Wolfpack (MM) pulled to within two on ZACHARY WAGNER's tally 13:21 into the third period.

Victory Honda (MM) was led by Andrew Nedeljkovic, who had one goal. Nedeljkovic scored 4:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Victory Honda (MM). Matthew Miller picked up the assist.

Victory Honda (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CT Wolfpack (MM) to score on any of its four power plays. CT Wolfpack (MM) was unable to stop Victory Honda (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Victory Honda (MM) eventually piled up 66 shots on goal. Victory Honda (MM)'s defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Victory Honda (MM) additionally got points from Christian Sabin, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Grimaldi, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Victory Honda (MM) included Shane Kelly, Alex Mahalak, and Brendan Prappas, who each put in one. In addition, Victory Honda (MM) received assists from Ian Kwant, who had three and Brendan Cherwalk, Shawn OMalley, and Justin Michaelian, who each chipped in one.

CT Wolfpack (MM) forced Victory Honda (MM) goalie Jorgan Johnson to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

CT Wolfpack (MM) also got a goal from Ryan Gil as well. More assists for CT Wolfpack (MM) came via Eugene Lim, Jake Fuss, and Peter Dziergas, who contributed one each.

Victory Honda (MM)'s Johnson stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Victory Honda (MM) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tripp Hutchinson made 60 saves for CT Wolfpack (MM) on 66 shots. CT Wolfpack (MM) incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
