Hawkesbury rolls over Kemptville, 5-1Robert Hartley Sports Complex1 Fri, Nov 13, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Hawkesbury Hawks were firing on all cylinders against the Kemptville 73s, and when the final buzzer sounded Hawks emerged with a 5-1 win. Hawkesbury was paced by Vincent Crivello, who finished with one goal. Crivello scored 10:29 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hawkesbury. Julien Denicourt provided the assist. The Hawks forced 73s' goalies to work between the pipes, finishing with 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Charlie Jensen made one stops and Nicholas Hodgins made 28. Hawkesbury put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kemptville to score on any of its four power plays. The Hawks' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Hawkesbury also got points from Mike Finger, who also registered one goal and one assist. Hawkesbury also got a goal from Damien Charette as well. In addition, Hawkesbury received assists from Charles Levesque, who had two and Adriano Leone, Jonathan Cyr, Ryan Jackson, Bruno Cheff, and Reid Murphy, who contributed one each. The 73s were held below their usual level of production. Kemptville puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. Matt Tugnutt also scored for Kemptville. Andrew Tucci made 23 saves for Hawkesbury on 24 shots. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The 73s incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
