Alex Friesen netted a hat trick to lead the Carleton Place Canadians over the Kemptville 73s, 6-2. Friesen's first goal came 6:52 into the second period. He then added goals at 16:46 into the second and at 17:36 into the second.Carleton Place's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Kemptville power plays. Kemptville was unable to stop the Canadians from sending pucks towards the net, and Carleton Place eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. Carleton Place also got points from Owen Grant, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Connor Merkley, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Brett Murray, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Carleton Place came via Nicolas Carrier, who had three and Will LeNeave and Tim Theochardis, who contributed one each. The 73s' offense rang up 34 shots on the Canadians' net. Kemptville's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to Carleton Place's power play unit. The 73s were helped by Owen Guy, who had one goal. Guy scored 10:46 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Noah Rowe assisted on the tally. Kaelan OFlynn also scored for Kemptville. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Matthew Titus, who had one and Tyson Kirkby, who had two. The Canadians' Colton Point stopped 32 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Carleton Place incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Charlie Jensen rejected 34 shots on goal for Kemptville. The 73s incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
