Kyle Hillick finished with one point to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 6-2 victory over the Kanata Lasers. Ottawa stifled Kanata's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Senators kept the Lasers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Butler made 25 saves on 31 shots. Ottawa also got points from William Cullen, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Daniel Sarracco, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Jim Pearson, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Ottawa included Samuel Meisenheimer and Jaren Burke, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Marc-Andre Gauvreau, Sean Rappleyea, Isaac Anderson, Brett Van Stralen, Johnathan Kovacevic, Brady Cloutier, Mitchell Gibson, and Elie Boulerice, who each chipped in one. Kanata was helped by Louis-Charles Croteau, who racked up one goal and one assist. Croteau scored 6:40 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Ottawa. David Pearce assisted on the tally. Preston Kugler also scored for Kanata. In addition, Kanata received assists from Jacob Moreau, who had two. Marcus Paulino took the win and made 19 saves before being replaced by Ian Andriano who made zero saves. Ottawa incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
