The Pembroke Lumber Kings had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Kanata Lasers. Pembroke was paced by Brett Horn, who grabbed one goal. Horn scored 12:41 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Pembroke. Fraser Turner provided the assist. The Lumber Kings kept Kanata's goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Moyse made 46 saves on 52 shots. Pembroke surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Lumber Kings have scored at the pace of 3.0 goals per game during the current campaign. Pembroke additionally got points from Stephen Cooney, who also had one goal and one assist.
