Greg Meireles was all over the ice for the Ottawa Senators, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Ottawa's 6-2 win over the Kemptville 73s. Meireles beat Nicholas Hodgins with a shot 9:14 into the first period on the power play to make the score 3-0 Ottawa. The Senators earned a power play opportunity when Quinn Wichers was put in the box for cross checking. Jaren Burke assisted on the tally. Meireles dished an assist on Burke's goal that made the score 1-0 Ottawa at 1:57 into the first period. He added another helper on Mitchell Gibson's goal that made the score 4-0 Ottawa at 6:38 into the second period.Ottawa pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes. The Senators forced 73s' goalies to work all game long, racking up 33 shots and forcing 27 saves. Hodgins made five stops and Charlie Jensen made 22. Ottawa also got points from Burke, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Ottawa also had goals scored by Daniel Sarracco and Zacharie Car, who each put in one. More assists for Ottawa came via Sean Rappleyea, who had two, Isaac Anderson, who had three, and Geoffrey Lawson and Ian Andriano, who each chipped in one. Kemptville was led by Dean Kiriacou, who tallied one goal. Kiriacou scored on the power play 24 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-2 Ottawa. Jake Gaudet picked up the assist. Kemptville also got a goal from Matthew Titus as well. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Jack Hale and Tyler Beauparlant, who contributed one each. Ian Andriano made 18 saves for Ottawa on 20 shots. The Senators registered two goals on five power play opportunities. The 73s incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
