Hebert nets hat trick, leads Cumberland to 8-0 win over KanataNavan Memorial Centre Sun, Oct 04, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Grant Hebert netted a hat trick to lead the Cumberland Grads over the Kanata Lasers, 8-0. Hebert got on the scoresheet 9:48 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:18 into the first and at 17:35 into the second.Cumberland was boosted by Ryan Coughlin, who turned in a shutout with 32 saves. Coughlin certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.11 entering the contest. The Grads excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Cumberland featured an improved defense during the game. The Grads allow 2.8 goals per game. Cumberland's offense rang up 59 shots on Kanata's net. The Grads found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Cumberland averages 4.0 goals per game. Cumberland also got points from Shawn Cameron, who also registered one goal and one assist and Branden Makara, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Joey Sollazzo also scored for Cumberland. In addition, Cumberland received assists from DAndre John, who had four, Matthieu Franche, Ted McCabe, and Costa Georgitsos, who each chipped in one, and Zackhary Salloum, Samuel Tremblay, and Michael Larose, who contributed two each. The Lasers' offense rang up 32 shots on the Grads' net. Cumberland incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brian Wilson made 51 saves for Kanata on 59 shots. The Lasers ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For Kanata, Jacob Cuffley was ejected from the game.
