The Gloucester Rangers tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Brockville Braves would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1. Brockville took a 2-0 lead during the first period, only to have Gloucester storm back on a Vincent Guimond goal 14:54 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Rangers were stymied by the Braves' netminder Michael Cerasuolo, who stopped 29 shots during the victory. Brockville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Braves forced Gloucester goalie Doug Johnston to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Brockville was helped by Tre Folkes, who registered one goal. Folkes scored on the power play 6:36 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brockville. A hooking penalty on Matt Adams had put the Braves on the power play. Liam Folkes picked up the assist. Andrew Jarvis also scored for Brockville. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Jack Billings and Neil Robinson, who contributed one each. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Jahwara Rennalls, who had one. Brockville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Johnston rejected 30 shots on goal for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
