Huge game by Croteau boosts Kanata over Cornwall , 7-6

In the losing effort, Cornwall were led by Grant Cooper , who grabbed two goals and one assist. Cooper scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 17:07 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Kanata. The goal was assisted by Nick Lalonde and Brennan Markell. Cooper 's next tally on the power play made the score 5-5 in the third period. Ross Craig claimed the first assist on the goal, and Lalonde got the second.

Kanata found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Lasers has scored at the pace of 1.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Kanata also had goals scored by Bryce Biller, Ty Power, Michael Locatelli, Bennett Altman, and Cody Bean, who each put in one. In addition, Kanata received assists from Dean Hewines and Cole Lussier, who each chipped in two and Ian Johnston, who had one.

Colts kept Kanata's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Butler made 33 saves on 39 shots.Cornwall outdid their season average for goals scored. Colts averages 3.3 goals per game.Cornwall had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on ten chances.

Cornwall additionally got points from Craig, who also registered one goal and one assist and Lalonde, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Cornwall included Lawson MacDougall and Keegan Mulhearn, who scored one each. More assists for Cornwall came via Markell, who had two and Sebastian Dirven, Tristan Conrad, David Chevrier, and Jeremy McFarlane, who contributed one apiece.

Kanata incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with ten minors. Liam Lascelle recorded ten saves for Colts. Cornwall incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
