St. Michaels downs Mississauga, 7-1

Cameron Searles registered two points to lead the St. Michaels Buzzers to a 7-1 victory over the Mississauga Chargers.

St. Michaels racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with five minors and two majors for 20 minutes in penalty time. The Buzzers surpassed its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. St. Michaels forced Mississauga's goalies to work all game long, totaling 32 shots and forcing 25 saves. Tyler Richardson made 19 stops and Andrew Cipollone made six. The Buzzers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. St. Michaels averages 3.6 goals per game.

St. Michaels also got points from Thomas Beretta, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Sean Kohler, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Finn Evans, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Cameron Wright also scored for St. Michaels. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were A.J. Dorazio, who had three and David Martino, Mark Paolini, Brad Cocca, Mitchell Devins-Cann, Colton Trumbla, and Dalton Barnes, who each chipped in one.

The Chargers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Mark Manolescu took the win and made 23 saves before being replaced by Jacob McGrath who made three saves. For the Buzzers, Martino and Luke Branco were ejected from the contest. Mississauga totaled 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Team's Kyler Matthews and Brandon Yeamans were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
