Kingston falls to Trenton in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Trenton Golden Hawks' Hunter Fargey scored 43 seconds into overtime to beat the Kingston Voyageurs, 3-2 (OT).

Trenton was led by Fargey, who tallied one goal.

The Golden Hawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Trenton's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Trenton also had goals scored by Blayne Oliver and Quinn Lenihan, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Brandon Marinelli, Kevin Lavoie, Keaton Ratcliffe, Nick Boddy, and Curtis Harvey, who each chipped in one.

Kingston stifled the Golden Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Voyageurs were helped by Connor Cobbold, who registered one goal. Cobbold scored 13:23 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cole Beckstead picked up the assist. Kingston additionally got points from Anthony Rinaldi, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Kingston received assists from Matthew Lourenco and Jack Zielinski, who contributed one each.

Daniel Urbani recorded 20 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Kingston's David Richer stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Voyageurs incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kingston ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Zachary Emelifeonwu was ejected from the game.
