Chris Sekelyk gave the North York Rangers a 3-2 (OT) victory over the St. Michaels Buzzers when he scored 1:07 into the extra period. St. Michaels could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. North York made it 2-0 on a goal by Joshua Dame at 7:37 in the second period. The Buzzers got to within 2-1 on a goal by Sean Kohler at 17:49 in the third period. The Rangers were sparked by Sekelyk, who finished with one goal. St. Michaels was unable to stop North York from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. Nick Campoli also scored for North York. In addition, North York received assists from Shawn Tessier, who had two and Jeremy Smith, Ted Hunt, Keegan Blasby, and Michael Morgan, who contributed one each. The Buzzers forced Rangers' goalies to work between the pipes, getting 43 shots and forcing 41 saves. Gianluca Baggetta made four stops and Jeremie Lintner made 37. St. Michaels also got a goal from Thomas Beretta as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Luke Branco, Brad Cocca, Noah Jordan, and A.J. Dorazio, who each chipped in one. North York ended with no penalties and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Mark Manolescu rejected 35 shots on goal for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
