Toronto Jr. Canadiens' Ursitti deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Oakville

Nicholas Ursitti was all over the ice for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens, as he tallied two goals in Toronto Jr. Canadiens' 4-1 win over the Oakville Blades.

Ursitti scored on the power play at 11:34 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens and again while on the power play 18:30 into the third to make the score 3-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens.

The Junior Canadiens' Brendan Bonello was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 31 saves and let only one puck past him. Bonello certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.47 entering the contest.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Oakville power plays. Oakville was unable to stop the Junior Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto Jr. Canadiens eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens additionally got points from Connor Beck, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Anthony Trujillo also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from Matthew Ferrari, Andrew Mullen, Sal Filice, Michael Siddall, and Nico Gonzalez, who each chipped in one.

The Blades did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Oakville puts an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. The Blades forced the Junior Canadiens goalie Bonello to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Oakville's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to Toronto Jr. Canadiens' power play unit.

The Blades were led by Drew Worrad, who scored the team's only goal. Worrad scored 18:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Oakville. Ryan Garvey picked up the assist.

The Junior Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Michael Botiz rejected 33 shots on goal for Oakville. The Blades incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
