Aurora downs Toronto Patriots in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Aurora Tigers' Evan Kearns scored 1:35 into overtime to beat the Toronto Patriots Patriots, 2-1 (OT).

Aurora was paced by Kearns, who tallied one goal.

The Tigers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Aurora wound up below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. Toronto Patriots was unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Aurora eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.

Austin Gerhart also scored for Aurora. In addition, Aurora received assists from Liam Ham, who had two and Daniel Mantenuto and Darren Iwai, who contributed one each.

The Patriots did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Toronto Patriots averages 3.1 goals per game.

The Patriots were led by Jake Harris, who scored the team's only goal. Harris scored 18:11 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Eric Eremita assisted on the tally.

Joshua Boyko recorded 23 saves for the Tigers. Aurora registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Toronto Patriots' Sean OReilly stopped 43 shots out of the 45 that he faced. The Patriots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
