Trenton downs Kingston in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Trenton Golden Hawks pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Kingston Voyageurs on a clutch goal by Hunter Fargey.

Trenton was led by goalie Daniel Urbani, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Urbani managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.69 prior to the game.

The Golden Hawks were led by Fargey, who grabbed one goal. Fargey scored on the power play 2:22 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Trenton had gotten the advantage when Kingston's Connor Cobbold was sent off for slashing. Josh Allan assisted on the tally.

The Golden Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Kingston power plays. The Voyageurs were unable to stop Trenton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Jordan Chard also scored for Trenton. In addition, Trenton received assists from Chays Ruddy, Danny Hanlon, and Nick Boddy, who each chipped in one.

Kingston managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Voyageurs finished below its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. Kingston's offense operated below its season average. The Voyageurs put an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game.

Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Danny Bosio and Colin Tonge, who contributed one each.

Trenton incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kingston's David Richer stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced.
