Hardie's goals lift Georgetown to 6-3 victory over Milton

Daniel Hardie was all over the ice for the Georgetown Raiders, as he tallied two goals in Georgetown's 6-3 win over the Milton Icehawks.

Hardie scored on the power play at 1:45 into the third period to make the score 3-3 and again while 3:49 into the third to make the score 4-3 Georgetown.

The Raiders forced Milton goalie Matt Whetham to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots. Georgetown surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Raiders average 3.9 goals per contest.

Georgetown additionally got points from Ashur Elliot, who also registered one goal and one assist. Georgetown also had goals scored by Ryan Takamatsu, Brendan Jacome, and Anthony Mota, who each put in one. More assists for Georgetown came via Wyatt Hicken, Jake Payette, Austin Cho, Jack Jacome, Josh Dickinson, and Andrew Court, who contributed one each and Bailey Molella and Zack Dybowski, who each chipped in two.

The Icehawks were helped by Graeme MacLean, who racked up one goal and one assist. MacLean scored on the power play 10:13 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Milton. Milton had gained a power play chance when Dickinson was whistled for tripping. Devin Pierce assisted on the tally. Milton also got points from Ryan Ngan, who also had one goal and one assist and Anthony Filoso, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Milton received assists from William Santangeli, who had one.

Georgetown took out Billy Day after he had made 18 saves and installed Andrew Masters in goal, where he finished with seven saves and the win. The Raiders incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matt Whetham made 48 saves for the Icehawks on 54 shots. Milton incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
