Ben Sokay netted a hat trick to lead the Wellington Dukes over the Lindsay Muskies, 10-1. Sokay's first goal came 18:12 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:21 into the second and at 11:11 into the third.Wellington's penalty kill excelled, as the Dukes gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Wellington forced Muskies' goaltenders to work all game long, taking 46 shots and forcing 36 saves. Sean Green made 24 stops and Graham Dynes made 12. The Dukes' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Wellington averages 3.7 goals per contest. The defensemen of the Dukes were also effective in Lindsay's zone, and came away with two goals. Wellington additionally got points from Jacob Hetherington, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Luc Brown, who also tallied one goal and three assists, and Dylan Mascarin, who also had one goal and four assists. Wellington also had goals scored by Tyler Burnie, who had two and Brodie Maracle and Mackenzie Warren, who each put in one. More assists for Wellington came via Nicolas Mucci, who had three, Shaw Boomhower, Austin Labelle, and Jake Falcao, who each chipped in one, and Jacob Panetta and Matt Adams, who contributed two each. Lindsay also got a goal from Brock Traill as well. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Cameron Lamport and Dayton Kent, who each chipped in one. Olivier Lafreniere made 20 saves for Wellington on 21 shots. The Dukes incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Muskies incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
