St. Michaels rips Toronto Patriots, 7-2

The St. Michaels Buzzers were firing on all cylinders against the Toronto Patriots Patriots, and when the final buzzer sounded Buzzers emerged with a 7-2 win.

St. Michaels got the win thanks to a great game by Sean Kohler, who had one goal and two assists. Kohler scored 7:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St. Michaels. Brad Cocca assisted on the tally.

The Buzzers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 14 penalty minutes.

Toronto Patriots was unable to stop St. Michaels from sending pucks towards the net, and the Buzzers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. St. Michaels surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Buzzers average 3.5 goals per game.

St. Michaels also got points from Anthony Paveglio, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Noah Jordan, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Michaels also had goals scored by Thomas Beretta, who had two and Lucas Breault and Finn Evans, who each put in one. More assists for St. Michaels came via Mark Paolini, who had two, A.J. Dorazio, who had three, and Dalton Barnes, Cameron Searles, Michael Andlauer, and Jacob McGrath, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots stifled St. Michaels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Toronto Patriots was helped by Christian Bortoluzzi, who tallied one goal. Bortoluzzi scored 9:13 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels. Lee Lapid picked up the assist. Jake Harris also scored for Toronto Patriots. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Patriots were Daniel Barnes, Logan Blaser, and Jeremy Pullara, who contributed one each.

Jacob McGrath made 23 saves for the Buzzers on 25 shots. St. Michaels registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. Sean OReilly recorded 24 saves for the Patriots. Toronto Patriots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
