The game between the Burlington Cougars and the St. Michaels Buzzers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Burlington emerged with a 5-3 win. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Willy Paul secured the win for the Cougars with a goal in the second period. Burlington was led by Zac Herrmann, who registered one goal and one assist. Herrmann scored 13:21 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Burlington. Ben Morris assisted on the tally. The Cougars forced St. Michaels goalie Jacob McGrath to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Burlington's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Others who scored for Burlington included David Thomson, James McLaughlin, and Tyler Riter, who scored one goal each.
