Georgetown beats Aurora 5-4 as Jacome gets hat trick

The Aurora Tigers could not stop the Georgetown Raiders' Brendan Jacome, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-4 win.

Jacome notched his first tally 18:31 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:57 into the second and at 14:56 into the third.

Georgetown forced Aurora's goaltenders to work in net, taking 42 shots and forcing 37 saves. Joshua Boyko made eight stops and Alex Fotinos made 29.

Georgetown also got points from Jordan Crocker, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Zack Dybowski also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Austin Cho, who had two, Jack Jacome, who had three, and Michael Boushy and Josh Dickinson, who each chipped in one.

The Tigers kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Masters made 29 saves on 33 shots.

Aurora was led by Evan Kearns, who registered two goals and two assists. Kearns scored the first of his two goals at 15:55 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Georgetown. Peter Muzyka picked up the assist. Kearns' next tally made the score 4-2 Georgetown with 3:21 left in the second period. Daniel Mantenuto assisted on the tally. Aurora additionally got points from Drake Board, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Noah Delmas, who also tallied one goal and one assist.

Georgetown incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
