Burlington downs Mississauga, 3-1

Jordan Peacock registered one point to lead the Burlington Cougars to a 3-1 victory over the Mississauga Chargers.

Mississauga was unable to stop Burlington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Cougars eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

Burlington also got points from Chris Cobham, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Nicholas Holt also scored for Burlington. Other players who recorded assists for Burlington were Zac Herrmann, who had one and David Thomson, who had three.

The Chargers were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Mississauga was led by Alexandros Acosta, who scored the team's only goal. Acosta scored 6:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mississauga. Brandon Yeamans assisted on the tally.

Andrew Lee made 23 saves for Burlington on 24 shots. The Cougars incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Tyler Richardson recorded 41 saves for the Chargers. Mississauga registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
