Toronto Jr. Canadiens rides Bonello to victory over Kingston, 2-1

Brendan Bonello stood on his head and made 34 saves to lead the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens to a 2-1 victory over the Kingston Voyageurs.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by Connor Beck, who registered one goal. Beck scored 17:36 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Andrew Mullen assisted on the tally.

The Junior Canadiens excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got a goal from George Novachis as well. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Nico Gonzalez, who had one and Matthew Ferrari, who had two.

Kingston did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Voyageurs average 3.8 goals per game. Kingston's offense rang up 35 shots on Toronto Jr. Canadiens' net.

The Voyageurs were led by Anthony Rinaldi, who scored the team's only goal. Rinaldi scored 1:51 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Ian Harris picked up the assist.

The Junior Canadiens totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Toronto Jr. Canadiens ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and David Zeppieri was ejected from the game. David Richer rejected 28 shots on goal for Kingston. The Voyageurs ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. For Kingston, Reed Kekewich was ejected from the game.
