The Oakville Blades' Ryan Garvey had a big offensive game, scoring four goals and contributing two assists in his team's 9-0 win over the Milton Icehawks. Garvey notched his first tally 8:18 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:30 into the first, at 1:36 into the second, and at 17:07 into the second.Michael Botiz frustrated Milton's offense all game, and stopped 26 shots en route to a shutout. Botiz certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.3 entering the contest. Oakville forced Icehawks' goalies to work between the pipes, finishing with 37 shots and forcing 28 saves. Jakob DeVincentis made 22 stops and Anthony Coletta made six. The Blades' goal total was higher than their season average. Oakville averages 4.2 goals per game. Oakville also got points from Peyton Reeves, who also registered one goal and one assist. Oakville also had goals scored by Josh Kosack, who had two and Brayden Sampson and Eric Holland, who scored one goal each. In addition, Oakville received assists from Brendan Doherty, Bryce Misley, and Daniel Jelic, who contributed one each, Michael Mannara, Evan Brown, and Drew Worrad, who each chipped in two, and Tyler Rollo and Christian Rajic, who contributed three each. The Icehawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Blades incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Milton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
