North York rolls over Milton, 10-2

The North York Rangers were firing on all cylinders against the Milton Icehawks, and when the final buzzer sounded Rangers emerged with a 10-2 win.

Christian Mitri quarterbacked North York's offense to perfection and bagged three assists in the Rangers' win over Milton.

North York forced the Icehawks' goaltenders to work in net, launching 52 shots and forcing 42 saves. Jakob DeVincentis made 21 stops and Anthony Coletta made 21. The Rangers stifled Milton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. North York surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Rangers have scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign. North York got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

North York additionally got points from Ted Hunt, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Joshua Dame, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Grayden Gottschalk, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Chris Sekelyk, who also had one goal and one assist. North York also had goals scored by Nick Zanette, who had two and Fedor Rudakov, Dean Rayner, Shawn Tessier, and Matthew Galli, who scored one goal each. In addition, North York received assists from Keegan Blasby, who had two, Tyler Currie, who had three, and Ryan Hunt, Louis Kereakou, and Adam Giacomin, who contributed one each.

The Icehawks were led by Tyler Longo, who racked up one goal and one assist. Longo scored 11:27 into the second period to make the score 5-1 North York. Ryan Ngan picked up the assist. Milton also got a goal from Devin Pierce as well. Other players who recorded assists for Milton were Graeme MacLean and Eric Kloucek, who each chipped in one.

Jeremie Lintner made 27 saves for the Rangers on 29 shots. North York incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Milton incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
