Georgetown blows out Mississauga, 7-2Port Credit Arena Sat, Jan 02, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The Georgetown Raiders had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over the Mississauga Chargers. Georgetown got the win with help from a great game by Jack Jacome, who had one goal and two assists. Jacome scored 15:05 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Georgetown. Andrew Court picked up the assist. The Raiders forced Chargers' goaltenders to work without much rest, taking 48 shots and forcing 41 saves. Tyler Richardson made 19 stops and Andrew Cipollone made 22. Georgetown's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Mississauga power plays. The Raiders surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Georgetown averages 3.8 goals per game. Georgetown also got points from Daniel Hardie, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Austin Cho, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Josh Dickinson, who also had one goal and one assist, and Court, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Bailey Molella also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Jake Payette, who had two and Zack Dybowski, Ashur Elliot, Brendan Jacome, and Anthony Mota, who each chipped in one. Mississauga kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Masters made 29 saves on 31 shots. Georgetown totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. The Raiders ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Arran MacDonald was ejected from the game. The Chargers ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. For Mississauga, Kyler Matthews was ejected from the game.
