The Markham Royals' Joel Knight scored 2:21 into overtime to beat the Toronto Patriots Patriots, 3-2 (OT).

Markham was sparked by Knight, who grabbed one goal.

In the losing effort, Toronto Patriots was led by Jeremy Pullara, who registered two goals. Pullara scored the first of his two goals at 3:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Patriots. Connor Beck provided the assist. Pullara's next tally made the score 2-2 with 21 seconds left in the third period. Beck picked up the assist.

The Royals stifled the Patriots' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Toronto Patriots was unable to stop Markham from sending pucks towards the net, and the Royals eventually piled up 60 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Markham included Aaron Spivak and Tyson Bruce, who scored one goal each. More assists for Markham came via Hudson Michaelis, who had two and Jason OConnor, Sean Perichak, and Marco Azzano, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots' offense rang up 45 shots on Markham's net.
