The Markham Royals' Joel Knight scored 2:21 into overtime to beat the Toronto Patriots Patriots, 3-2 (OT). Markham was sparked by Knight, who grabbed one goal. In the losing effort, Toronto Patriots was led by Jeremy Pullara, who registered two goals. Pullara scored the first of his two goals at 3:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Patriots. Connor Beck provided the assist. Pullara's next tally made the score 2-2 with 21 seconds left in the third period. Beck picked up the assist. The Royals stifled the Patriots' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Nicholas Ursitti, who had one. Marcus Semiao recorded 43 saves for the Royals. Markham incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
