Isaacson's big game bests Milton in 9-0 Lindsay winLindsay Recreation Centre Sun, Dec 13, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lindsay Muskies' Nick Isaacson had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 9-0 win over the Milton Icehawks. Isaacson found the back of the net 2:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay and again while 12:13 into the second to make the score 5-0 Lindsay.Lindsay was boosted by Sean Green, who turned in a shutout with 31 saves. Green certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.93 entering the contest. The Muskies forced Milton's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 40 shots and forcing 31 saves. Anthony Coletta made 20 stops and Jakob DeVincentis made 11. Lindsay put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Icehawks to score on any of their seven power plays. The Muskies outdid their season average for goals scored. Lindsay averages 2.2 goals per game. The Muskies could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. The defensemen of Lindsay were also effective in Milton's zone, and came away with three goals. Lindsay additionally got points from Kristopher Diclemente, who also grabbed two goals and two assists, Owen Barnett, who also registered one goal and one assist, Cedric Ralph, who also had two goals and one assist, Jeff Christensen, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Brock Traill, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Ben Sellars, who had two and Hunter Hotrum, Cole Robbins, Cameron Harris, Cameron Lamport, and Braeden Kublick, who contributed one each. The Icehawks' offense rang up 31 shots on the Muskies' net. Lindsay registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Milton incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
