Seitz nets hat trick, leads Buffalo to 8-1 win over Milton

A hat trick by Dylan Seitz was the highlight in Jr. Sabres' 8-1 win against the Milton Icehawks.

Seitz notched his first tally 11:57 into the second period. He then added goals at 17:02 into the third and at 19:15 into the third.

Milton was stymied by the Buffalo Jr. Sabres' netminder Tucker Weppner, who stopped 32 shots during the victory. The solid play of Weppner will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.75.

Buffalo forced Icehawks' netminders to work in net, finishing with 47 shots and forcing 39 saves. Jakob DeVincentis made 21 stops and Anthony Coletta made 18. The Jr. Sabres' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Buffalo averages 4.3 goals per contest. The Jr. Sabres was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

Buffalo also got points from Tim Nicksic, who also registered one goal and two assists, Matthew Buchbinder, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Bryce Ferrell, who also had one goal and one assist. Buffalo also had goals scored by Nicholas Bondra and David Baskerville, who each put in one. More assists for Buffalo came via Aaron Reinig, Zach Evancho, Adam Tretowicz, Joshua Biasillo, Christian Zimmerman, and Ryan Wheeler, who contributed one each and Christopher Berger and Wilson Vershay, who each chipped in two.

The Icehawks' offense rang up 33 shots on Buffalo's net.

Graeme MacLean also scored for Milton. Other players who recorded assists for Milton were Andrew Petrucci and Anthony Filoso, who contributed one each.

The Jr. Sabres ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. For Buffalo, Evancho was ejected from the game. Milton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
