The Kingston Voyageurs' Jacob Hanlon scored 3:34 into overtime to beat the Markham Royals, 3-2 (OT). Kingston was led by Hanlon, who tallied one goal. The Voyageurs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Kingston finished below its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. Markham was unable to stop the Voyageurs from sending pucks towards the net, and Kingston eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Kingston also got points from Jack Zielinski, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kingston also got a goal from Cole Beckstead as well. In addition, Kingston received assists from Anthony Rinaldi, Ian Harris, and Connor Cobbold, who each chipped in one. The Royals' offense rang up 43 shots on the Voyageurs' net. Markham was helped by Hudson Michaelis, who grabbed one goal. Michaelis scored 2:40 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brendan Valko picked up the assist. David Richer made 41 saves for Kingston on 43 shots. The Voyageurs registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Marcus Semiao rejected 40 shots on goal for the Royals. Markham incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
