Kingston downs Oakville, 5-2

Anthony Rinaldi had two points to lead the Kingston Voyageurs to a 5-2 victory over the Oakville Blades.

Kingston's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Oakville power plays.

Kingston also had goals scored by Zachary Emelifeonwu, Cole Beckstead, Austin Boulard, and Brandon Nadeau, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Josh Hardiman, Jacob Hanlon, Matthew Lourenco, Ian Harris, Jack Zielinski, and Connor Cobbold, who each chipped in one.

Oakville stifled the Voyageurs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Blades were led by Ryan Garvey, who registered one goal and one assist. Garvey scored 16:24 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brandon Lukezic provided the assist. Bryce Misley also scored for Oakville. In addition, Oakville received assists from Patrick Kudla and Daniel Jelic, who contributed one each.

Kingston's David Richer stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Voyageurs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brendan McGlynn made 21 saves for Oakville on 25 shots. The Blades incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
