Georgetown survives Whitby comeback, wins 4-2Alcott Wed, Dec 09, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Georgetown Raiders came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Whitby Fury, but did just enough to escape with a 4-2 victory. Georgetown led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Raiders' Zack Dybowski scored at 8:26 in the second period to put Georgetown up 3-0. Brendan Jacome had a great game for the Raiders, netting two goals. Jacome's tallies came short handed at 17:31 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Georgetown and 19:51 into the third to make the score 4-2 Georgetown. Georgetown's offense rang up 38 shots on Whitby's net. Georgetown also got points from Jordan Crocker, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Georgetown came via Peter Stratis, Wyatt Hicken, Bailey Molella, Jack Jacome, Kyle Allan, and Andrew Court, who each chipped in one. The Fury were helped by Jacob Durham, who had one goal. Durham scored 18:31 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Georgetown. Zack Fisher assisted on the tally. Whitby additionally got points from Nik Coric, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Whitby received assists from Greg Allen and Brock Welsh, who contributed one each. The Raiders' Andrew Masters stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Georgetown incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. Jordon White recorded 34 saves for Whitby. The Fury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
