Baggetta leads North York to shutout victory over Lindsay

Gianluca Baggetta recorded a shutout against the Lindsay Muskies as the North York Rangers picked up a 3-0 win.

Tyler Currie had a great game for North York, netting two goals. Currie scored on the power play at 19:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North York and again while 7:27 into the third to make the score 3-0 North York.

The Rangers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Lindsay power plays. North York's defensive play was more effective than usual against Lindsay. The Rangers gives up 3.0 goals on average per game. The Muskies were unable to stop North York from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

North York additionally got points from Ted Hunt, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, North York received assists from Fedor Rudakov, who had one and Ryan Hunt and Keegan Blasby, who contributed two each.

Lindsay's offense rang up 40 shots on North York's net.

Baggetta rejected 40 shots on goal for the Rangers. North York incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Rangers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Louis Kereakou was ejected from the game. Sean Green recorded 32 saves for the Muskies. Lindsay incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
