Jacob McGrath frustrated Newmarket's offense all game, and stopped 45 shots en route to a shutout. McGrath managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.92 prior to the game.

St. Michaels excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Buzzers' offense operated below their season average. St. Michaels puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. The Hurricanes were unable to stop the Buzzers from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Michaels eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

More assists for St. Michaels came via Mark Paolini and Cameron Wright, who contributed one each.
