Urbani leads Trenton to shutout victory over WhitbyDuncan Memorial Wed, Nov 25, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Daniel Urbani was superb between the pipes for the Trenton Golden Hawks, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Whitby Fury. Trenton was sparked by Jordan Chard, who tallied one goal. Chard scored on the power play 9:31 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Trenton. The Golden Hawks had gotten the advantage when Whitby's Brock Welsh was sent off for cross checking. Danny Hanlon provided the assist. Trenton put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Fury to score on any of their four power plays. Trenton also got points from Liam Morgan, who also registered one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Mitch Emerson as well. In addition, Trenton received assists from Brandon Marinelli, Adam Clements, and Nick Boddy, who each chipped in one. Whitby did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Fury put an average of 2.9 pucks into the net per game. The Golden Hawks' Urbani stopped 27 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Trenton incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Daniel Mannella rejected 24 shots on goal for Whitby. The Fury incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
