Toronto Jr. Canadiens downs Lindsay in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Lindsay Muskies on a clutch goal by Andrew Mullen.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens got the win thanks to a great game by Justin Maiolino, who had one goal and two assists. Maiolino scored 4:36 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Eric Eremita picked up the assist.

The Junior Canadiens pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 19 penalty minutes.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 16:07 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens' offense rang up 35 shots on Lindsay's net.

Anthony Trujillo also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Matthew Ferrari and Sal Filice, who each chipped in one.

The Junior Canadiens were unable to stop the Muskies from sending pucks towards the net, and Lindsay eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

The Muskies were helped by Kyle Diamond, who racked up one goal. Diamond scored 6:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. Cole Robbins assisted on the tally. Lindsay also got a goal from Owen Barnett as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were James Allen and Stuart Fierheller, who contributed one each.

Brendan Bonello rejected 39 shots on goal for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Toronto Jr. Canadiens ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Graeme MacLean was ejected from the game. Graham Dynes made 32 saves for Lindsay on 35 shots. The Muskies totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. For Lindsay, Zach Treen was ejected from the game.
