Georgetown downs North York in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Brendan Jacome gave the Georgetown Raiders a 2-1 (OT) victory over the North York Rangers when he scored 22 seconds into the extra period.

Georgetown was led by goalie Andrew Masters, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal. Masters certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.02 entering the contest.

The Raiders were sparked by Jacome, who racked up one goal.

Georgetown's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three North York power plays. The Raiders kept North York's goalie busy throughout the game, and Gianluca Baggetta made 34 saves on 36 shots.

Ashur Elliot also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Jake Payette, Zack Dybowski, Austin Cho, and Josh Dickinson, who contributed one each.

The Rangers were held below their usual level of production. North York averages 3.2 goals per game. Georgetown was unable to stop the Rangers from sending pucks towards the net, and North York eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Penalties took their toll on the Rangers, as their penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

North York was led by Grayden Gottschalk, who scored the team's only goal. Gottschalk scored 18:50 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Michael Morgan provided the assist.

The Raiders incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. For Georgetown, Matthew Thom was ejected from the game. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
