Huge game by Jacome boosts Georgetown over St. Michaels, 5-1

The Georgetown Raiders' Brendan Jacome had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-1 win over the St. Michaels Buzzers.

Jacome's tallies came short handed at 3:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown and 18:11 into the second to make the score 4-1 Georgetown.

Georgetown pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

St. Michaels was unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Georgetown eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Georgetown also got points from Jack Jacome, who also had one goal and one assist. Georgetown also had goals scored by Matthew Pyz and Arran MacDonald, who scored one goal each. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Wyatt Hicken, Jordan Crocker, Michael Boushy, Bailey Molella, Kyle Allan, Matthew Cairns, and Anthony Mota, who contributed one each.

The Buzzers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Georgetown power plays. St. Michaels was held below its usual level of production. The Buzzers average 3.3 goals per game.

St. Michaels was led by Cameron Wright, who scored the team's only goal. Wright scored on the power play 6:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels. The Buzzers had gotten the advantage when the Raiders' Josh Dickinson was sent off for holding. Cameron Searles assisted on the tally.

Andrew Masters made 23 saves for Georgetown on 24 shots. For the Raiders, Cairns was ejected from the game. Jacob McGrath rejected 31 shots on goal for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. St. Michaels ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Sean Kohler was ejected from the game.
