Oakville completes comeback, beats Stouffville, 4-3Sixteen Mile Sports Complex Fri, Nov 20, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Oakville Blades battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over the Stouffville Spirit. Oakville never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Blades fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Stouffville's Chad Burrows at 28 seconds in the second period. Oakville tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Patrick Kudla at 16:51 in the third period. The Blades scored the game winner at 18:12 in the third period on a goal by Kudla. Oakville was sparked by Bryce Misley, who finished with one goal. The Blades put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Spirit to score on any of their three power plays. Oakville kept Stouffville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Conor McCollum made 33 saves on 37 shots. Oakville additionally got points from Kudla, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Tyler Rollo, who also had one goal and one assist. Christian Rajic also scored for Oakville. More assists for Oakville came via Josh Kosack, who had two and Jackson Bales, Brayden Sampson, and Drew Worrad, who contributed one each. The Spirit were helped by Christopher Brill-Morgan, who registered one goal. Brill-Morgan scored 6:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stouffville. Justin Mahabir assisted on the tally. Stouffville also got a goal from Alex Williamson as well. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Max Novick, Cameron Lintner, and Nathan Hudgin, who each chipped in one. The Blades' Michael Botiz stopped 24 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Oakville totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. The Blades ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Rajic was ejected from the game. Stouffville ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Team's Zachary Roberts and Sam Hu were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
