Olivier Lafreniere had a standout game with 37 saves, and the Wellington Dukes beat the Aurora Tigers 3-1. Wellington was paced by Chase St Aubin, who had one goal. St Aubin scored on the power play 7:06 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Wellington. The Dukes had gained a power play chance when Alex Formenton was whistled for cross checking. Jacob Panetta assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Wellington included Justin Bean and Austin Labelle, who each put in one. More assists for Wellington came via Luc Brown, Colin Doyle, and Tyler Burnie, who each chipped in one. Aurora could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Tigers average 3.2 goals per game. Aurora's offense rang up 38 shots on Wellington's net. The Tigers were led by Evan Kearns, who scored the team's only goal. Kearns scored on the power play 11:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora. Aurora had taken the advantage when the Dukes' Jake Falcao got sent off for too many men. Jordan DaSilva picked up the assist. Wellington incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Alex Fotinos rejected 25 shots on goal for the Tigers. Aurora incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
