St. Michaels hangs on, beats Toronto Jr. Canadiens 4-2

A.J. Dorazio gave the St. Michaels Buzzers the lead in the first period, and the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-2.

A goal 9:56 into the first period by Dorazio proved to be the game winner, and powered St. Michaels to the victory. Noah Jordan picked up the assist.

The Buzzers got the win with help from a great game by Thomas Beretta, who had two goals and one assist. Beretta scored the first of his two goals at 15:46 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St. Michaels. Dorazio provided the assist. Beretta's next tally made the score 4-2 St. Michaels with eight seconds left in the third period.

St. Michaels also got points from Dorazio, who also had one goal and one assist. Sam Hunter also scored for St. Michaels. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Luke Branco and Sean Kohler, who contributed one each.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Michaels power plays. The Junior Canadiens' offense rang up 31 shots on St. Michaels' net.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was helped by Anthony Trujillo, who racked up one goal. Trujillo scored on the power play 5:24 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels. The Junior Canadiens had taken the advantage when the Buzzers' Anthony Paveglio got sent off for hooking. Sal Filice picked up the assist. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got a goal from Andrew Pucci as well. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Cody Symonds, Andrew Mullen, and Justin Maiolino, who each chipped in one.

St. Michaels' Jacob McGrath stopped 29 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Buzzers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Brendan Bonello rejected 26 shots on goal for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
