Aurora holds on for 3-2 win against Lindsay

The Aurora Tigers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Lindsay Muskies on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Jordan DaSilva put Aurora up 3-1 in the third period, but Lindsay pulled to within one on Jeff Christensen's tally 12:51 into the third period.

The Tigers were led by DaSilva, who had one goal. DaSilva scored on the power play 3:15 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Aurora. Aurora had gained a power play chance when Cameron Robinson was whistled for high sticking. Liam Neuman assisted on the tally.

The Tigers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Aurora forced the Muskies goalie Boyd Diclemente to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Others who scored for Aurora included Drake Board and Darren Iwai, who scored one goal each. More assists for Aurora came via Evan Kearns, who had two and Alex Formenton and Ryan Shaw, who contributed one each.

Owen Barnett also scored for Lindsay. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Hunter Hotrum, who had one and Kristopher Diclemente, who had two.

The Tigers' Alex Brooks-Potts stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Aurora incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Diclemente recorded 40 saves for Lindsay. The Muskies incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
