Huge game by Rinaldi boosts Kingston over Lindsay, 4-0INVISTA Center Thu, Nov 12, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Anthony Rinaldi was all over the ice for the Kingston Voyageurs, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Kingston's 4-0 win over the Lindsay Muskies. Rinaldi's tallies came at 9:07 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Kingston and 13:29 into the third to make the score 2-0 Kingston.The Voyageurs were boosted by David Richer, who turned in a shutout with 25 saves. Richer managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.06 prior to the game. Kingston pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 40 penalty minutes. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 3:35 into the third period. Five fighting penalties were dished out along with four game misconducts. The Voyageurs stifled Lindsay's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kingston's defense was surprisingly good. The Voyageurs gives up 2.8 goals on average per game. The Muskies were unable to stop Kingston from sending pucks towards the net, and the Voyageurs eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Kingston also got points from Brandon Nadeau, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Connor Cobbold also scored for Kingston. Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Ian Harris, who had two and Josh Hardiman, Colin Tonge, and Reid Russell, who each chipped in one. Lindsay was often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 51 minutes in penalty time. The Muskies surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. Lindsay excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. For Kingston, Cole Beckstead and Braedyn Asselstine were ejected from the contest. The Muskies' Boyd Diclemente stopped 38 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Lindsay registered zero goals on eight power play opportunities. Team's Hunter Hotrum and Brandon Washer were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
