Toronto Jr. Canadiens completes comeback, beats Georgetown, 3-2Westwood Arena Sun, Nov 08, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens rallied from two goals down to secure a 3-2 win over the Georgetown Raiders. Toronto Jr. Canadiens never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Junior Canadiens fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Georgetown's Arran MacDonald at 17:09 in the first period. Toronto Jr. Canadiens tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Andrew Pucci at 8:12 in the second period. The Junior Canadiens got the game winner at 18:59 in the third period on a goal by Pucci. Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by David Zeppieri, who racked up one goal. The Junior Canadiens forced the Raiders' goaltenders to work between the pipes, launching 32 shots and forcing 29 saves. Billy Day made two stops and Andrew Masters made 27. Toronto Jr. Canadiens stifled Georgetown's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Toronto Jr. Canadiens additionally got points from Pucci, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Justin Maiolino, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Anthony Trujillo, who had two and Matthew Ferrari and George Novachis, who each chipped in one. The Raiders were helped by Ashur Elliot, who had one goal. Elliot scored 9:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown. Josh Dickinson provided the assist. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Daniel Hardie, Jack Jacome, and Brendan Jacome, who contributed one each. Daniel Lopapa recorded 27 saves for the Junior Canadiens. Toronto Jr. Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Georgetown incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
