Diclemente stymies Pickering, Lindsay wins 3-1Pickering Recreation Complex Sun, Nov 08, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lindsay Muskies relied on the sparkling performance of Boyd Diclemente in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Pickering Panthers. Lindsay was led by James Allen, who tallied one goal. Allen scored 1:32 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Lindsay. Braeden Kublick provided the assist. The Muskies managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Lindsay finished below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. The Muskies' offense rang up 36 shots on Pickering's net. Lindsay also had goals scored by Cedric Ralph and Adam McPhail, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Kristopher Diclemente and Brandon Washer, who each chipped in one. The Panthers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lindsay to score on any of its three power plays. Pickering was held below its usual level of production. The Panthers put an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game. Pickering kept the Muskies' goalie busy throughout the game, and Diclemente made 42 saves on 43 shots. The Panthers were led by Dallas Carter, who scored the team's only goal. Carter scored 12:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pickering. Doug Carter picked up the assist. Mathew Woroniuk made 33 saves for Pickering on 35 shots. The Panthers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
